Todd E. Fothergill
Strategies For College
Todd has over two decades of experience in admissions and financial aid and is the co-developer of the College Decision Management System. He is a faculty member of the Boston Tax Institute, a member of the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, and a Charter Member of The National College Advocacy Group for whom he has authored extensive training materials. He has been a featured speaker for several national organizations including The National Association for Personal Financial Advisors, The Financial Planning Association and the Sage Scholars Advisory Board Conference in 2012. Todd also authored or co-authored the CFP Board Registered content that is used in the professional membership site to train professionals in financial services. He is also “the voice” behind most of the recorded content at the College Search GamePLAN member website.
Todd has enjoyed an extensive career in higher education, including the directorship of Postsecondary Programs at three Vermont High Schools, and college professorships at Towson University (MD) and Franklin & Marshall College (PA).
He is currently collaborating and co-authoring with Dr. Jim Johnston, CEO of Sage Scholars, Inc. and former Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at the Wharton Graduate School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, a series of articles for Retirement Weeklyfocused on what grandparents need to know about college planning.
Todd received his Masters Degree at Towson University, his Bachelors at the University of Vermont, and was a Prudential Fellow at Rutgers University.
